Attached is the image containing the correct labels as well as an image concerning the different cell lines involved in hematopoiesis.
Red blood cell production is stimulated by erythropoietin which is produced by the kidneys. Increases in erythropoietin production also increases the production of hemocytoblasts or myeloid cell precursors. Red blood cell maturation occurs in the red bone marrow. Red blood cell production is from the myeloid stem line (along with white blood cells, except lymphocytes, and platelets).
White blood cell production is triggered when there is increases in interleukins and colony stimulating factors (i.e. infection). This will also increase the production of hemocytoblasts and also develop in the red bone marrow. White blood cells are neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, and monocytes which are all from the myeloid stem cells. Lymphocytes on the other hand come from the lymphoid stem cells.
Platelet production is primarily stimulated by thrombopoietin which is produced by the liver. They also develop from hemocytoblasts which then will differentiate to megakaryocytes (that develop in the bone marrow). Fragmentation of megakaryocytes will produce platelets.
