thus in order to balance the elephant and the Rabit.. accordingly .. you must balance the torque
2. you have to find the length of the other part of the lever's arm
• the torque on the left side of lever's arm is equal to
mg*perpendicular distance which is equal to
500*10*10 = 50000 NM
on the right side you have to obtain the same value of torque which will be
mg*perpendicular distance from the right side of lever's arm
1*10*x = 50000 NM
which comes to 5000 m
thus the total length will be
5000+10 = 5010 m
