In general, we're bad at recognizing emotions in other people
The majority of people based their behaviors/actions based on our self-interest rather than the interest of others.
This tendency improve the chance of us alienating others that are not relevant/preventing us from fulfilling out self-interest

Humans are good at recognizing emotions in other people. Humans gain empathy as they grow, which help them understand the feelings and experiences of other humans. The only people who do not develop empathy are sociopaths, who are not a huge factor since they only make up a small fraction of humans. Sociopaths lack a conscience which makes empathy impossible to them.
