Behind one door is a ferocious tiger, that will eat the criminal alive while behind the second door is a beautiful damsel which the criminal will be allowed to marry if he chooses that door. The climax of the story comes when the criminal reaches out to open the right hand door which has been signaled to him by the princess. The princess had a hard time deciding which door to signal to his former love because, she is not ready to allow another woman to have him neither does she want him to be eaten up by a tiger. At the end, the princess made her decision, which the author did not made known to the readers.
