Why did the framers (george washington, james madison, benjamin franklin, etc.) decide to scrap the articles of confederation and draft a new constitution?
They did that because the articles of federation was incredibly weak and had many negative side effects (all they did was do the opposite of what King George did such as making taxes illegal, I'm sure you can see why that would be a bad thing)
