please help me with these english questions the first one is from the short story forbidden fruit class=

Respuesta :

The first one is
can not hold a steady job due to his fits of rage

The second one is
Man vs Society

I'm not positive but I believe those are correct
first question: It would not be the 2nd option "Lost his drivers license" because it did not say anything about him being sad that he lost something (his driver license). The passage is trying to fool you. Just because they put "exceed speed limits" doesn't mean that he lost his license. It never even mentioned that he had a license.
it would not be the third option since the author never said that he HAD to accomplish something based on that paragraph and it never mentioned a lack of anything
it is not the fourth option since the author never mentioned him wanting to race cars. Him wanting to be a car driver vs. being a race car driver are completely different things. (Tip: details are important. Rereading the paragraph is a great way to notice the details)
The answer would be the first option: Can not hold a steady job due to fits of rage. Why? If you look closely at the paragraph, the word "temperament" means a person's or animal's nature/behavior.
Number 15: This one is a bit tricky but I'll try my best to help you answer this question. Man vs. Man would be if two people were having an argument or so I'm assuming. Man vs. nature would probably be himself and his nature. His habits, per say. Man vs. society would be if this man was running from people or he has different opinions than what normal regular people would think. Man vs. himself I'm assuming would be he wants to do one thing but at the same time he wants to do another and he is stuck between those options. Or, man's worst enemy is himself and he doesn't like himself anymore or his mind is torturing him. Based on what I think each of those means, I think that the answer would be Man vs. society since it says "Then they were obliged to explain to him" or "Every night he spent at home meant a family would have nothing to eat the following day". The man's actions are affecting other people, and other people came to him to explain what he is doing. Therefore, I would choose Man vs. society.

Sorry, this was so long, I wanted to explain to you a bit how why these are the answers I would choose. Hope this helped!
