Given ΔABE is an isosceles triangle with ∠ABE = 100° and ΔMNP is an isosceles triangle with one base angle measuring 40°. Are the two triangles, ΔABE and ΔMNP similar? If so, by what criterion?
Yes, they are similar. The base angles on MNP would need to be multiplied by 2 and you would get 80. Leaving 100 to be the last angle. Size is not given, however it is the only way it could be similar, but not congruent.
