Further Explanation:

Cells and tissues are the components of every individual’s body. The cell is the functional and structural unit of life. A cell can be prokaryotic or eukaryotic depending on the cell composition and organism.

A tissue is a bunch of cells that perform a specific function together. The tissues in the organism’s body can be of many types. Some of the tissues of the body are; epithelial tissue, nervous tissue, connective tissueand muscular tissue. Mitosis is the phenomenonby the virtue of which the cell divides into two. The ploidy of the mother cell and daughter cells remains the same and therefore, mitosis is said to be the equational cell division. Mitosis generally occurs in the cells other than germ cells. Meiosis is the process by which germ cells are formed. The ploidy of the daughter cells tends to be half of the mother cell and therefore, the meiosis cell division is said to be the reductional cell division.

An organelle is the functional unit of the cell which have specific functions inside the cell. For example, the mitochondria is powerhouse of the cell while ribosomes are the site of protein synthesis. Nucleus is that organelle of the cell which contains the DNA. The DNA contains genes which are responsible for passing on of parental characteristics from one generation to another. The DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid is one of the five macromolecules that are necessary for the functioning of the body. The RNA or ribonucleic acid is also a nucleic acids whose translation results in the protein formation. Cytology is the study of cells and all the functional characteristics of the cells whereas, the histology is the study of tissues and the functional characteristics of the tissues.
