Color is created because of how light reflects each different object. Let's look at a leaf. The leaf absorbs every color from wight light EXCEPT for green. The green reflects off and bounces into our eye, letting us see it as green. It is the same for all other objects.
Color is created from different wavelengths of light, and interpreted from how are eyes are able to perceive it. Some colors we are unable to see, so the closest visible wavelength on the spectrum is how are brain processes the image.
