After the loss of World War I, the German people were devastated emotionally and economically. Through the manipulation of the media, called propaganda, Hitler enacted policies to isolate and kill millions of German-Jewish citizens. Propaganda that was distributed, claimed the racial superiority of the German People and at the same time the racial inferiority of the Jewish people. The negative economic situation, exacerbated the emotional tensions in the region led to the ease with which Hitler manipulated the population and placed the blame for all of Germany's problems on the Jewish population and that the only solution was the "cleansing" through the eradication/killing of all German-Jewish citizens, also known as the (Jewish) Holocaust.
