So we wan't to know how much would 14 bags of seeds cost if three bags cost 14.16$. What we wan't first is the price of only one bag of bird seeds and lets call it x. To get that we need to divide the cost of three bags of seeds by 3 and we get that x=14.16$/3=4.72$.
