An object is launched from ground level with an initial velocity of 400 feet per second. To the nearest tenth of a second, how long does it take the object to reach a height of 650 feet?

While Jayden is undoubtedly correct in that this is a physics equation when taken in depth...However, I think in this Algebra class they are simply looking for a ratio"1 sec is to 40 feet" as "x sec is to 25 feet"   or... 1/40 = x/25cross multiply40x = 25x = 25/40 = 5/8 = 0.625 seconds...
