The Taj Majal was influenced by the religion of Islam and is found in Agra, India.
It is said that Mughal ruler Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in memory of his queen, Mumtaj Mahal. The Mughal empire consolidated Islam in South Asia, and spread Muslim arts and culture as well as the faith through the region. Therefore, although people confuse the Taj Majal as being a Hindu temple, it is acutally a Muslim one. However, there are people that argue that this is not the true story of the Taj Majal and that it actually is a Hindu temple.
