The percentage of people willing to comply dropped from 65% down to 48%. This still showed that there was nearly a majority of people who would be willing to follow the demands of a person, given that their authority seemed to be pertinent to the overall situation. People who would otherwise not do harmful things to other people were still goaded into becoming tortuous individuals at the behest of such an authority figure.
