Why do scientists use computer programs to model protein structure and function?

They can create 3D images that are detailed, and easy to see of proteins, which are really tiny. It's like for the reason you have to look at them under a microscope. It is probably hard to draw or create a 3D model although you could. Computers are just more precise, clear, and neat.
