All of the above events happened after the war of 1812 but for different reasons. Americans improving their standard of living demanded more cotton and luxury goods and the passage of the Embargo Act of 1812 that cut off all trade with Briton and France to force their hands into recognizing United States sovereignty. With no trade with France and Briton it forced the United States to build factories to refine the cotton and tobacco into consumer products using factories that needed to be build on land from a growing real estate market as the United States.
