Can someone check my answers for this please? I don't know if I did it right and I'm confused.

Imagine that you are crossing two plants that are heterozygous for flower color and seed shape. The dominant and recessive alleles for these traits are as follows:
purple flowers: P
white flowers: p
round seeds: R
wrinkled seeds: r

3. Create a Punnett square to calculate the possible genotypes that can result from a cross between the two parent plants. In a dihybrid cross, the alleles of the gametes of each parent are written along the left side and top of the Punnett square, just as they are for a monohybrid cross. Fill in the squares with the predicted genotypes. Some information has been filled in for you to help you complete a Punnett square for a dihybrid cross.

The picture below shows what I put as the answers. I don't know if it's right though.

5. Finally, look at the Punnett square again and write the numbers of offspring with each phenotype.
Answer:
purple flowers, round seeds: 9
purple flowers, wrinkled seeds: 4
white flowers, round seeds: 4
white flowers, wrinkled seeds: 1

This is the question I need checked most. I have no idea if I did this right at all.

Thanks and have a wonderful week.

Answer:

the answer is

The Punnett square shows the possible genotypes of the offspring of two pea plants that are heterozygous for seed color.

What is the genotype for each square?

A:

✔ YY

B:

✔ Yy

C:

✔ Yy

D:

✔ yy

Explanation:

A cross between two contrasting traits carrying individuals regulated by two distinctive genes is called a dihybrid cross.

The plant for the cross is heterozygous for flower colour and seed shapes.

The dominant  and recessive alleles for the traits are:

  • Purple flower: P
  • White flower: p
  • Round seeds: R
  • Wrinkled seeds: r

Looking through the Punnett square the number of offsprings with each phenotype are as follow:

  • purple flowers, round seeds: 9
  • purple flowers, wrinkled seeds: 3
  • white flowers, round seeds: 3
  • white flowers, wrinkled seeds: 1

For referring to the punnet square check the image below.

Therefore, this dihybrid cross will follow the Mendelian law and the ratio obtained will be- 9:3:3:1
