4/9 is smaller than 4/8 so the other fractions should be 4/8.____
This is what I did:
I used the fractions 4/8.5 and 4/8.4
Now we need to get rid of the decimal point for each of those fractions.
Find out what number you need to multiply the denominator so it is a whole number, not a decimal.
Take that number and multiply it by both numerator and denominator.
8.5 x 2 = 17
4/8.5 = (4*2)/(8.5*2) = 8/17 (This is your first fraction)
8.4 x 5 = 42
4/8.4 = (4*5)/(8.4*5) = 20/42 (This is your second fraction.
