(the answer can't be less than 64 since 64 is only part of the whole number)

The number which multiplied by [tex]66\dfrac{2}{3}\%[/tex] gives 64 is required.

The required number is 96.

Let [tex]x[/tex] be the missing number.

According to the question

[tex]\dfrac{66\dfrac{2}{3}}{100}x=64\\\Rightarrow \left(66+\dfrac{2}{3}\right)x=6400\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{198+2}{3}x=6400\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{200}{3}x=6400\\\Rightarrow x=6400\times \dfrac{3}{200}\\\Rightarrow x=96[/tex]

So, the required number is 96.
