Multiplying two negatives would equal a positive so, you remove the parenthesis and make them a positive and you would get 6x3 then you would multiply that which equals 18!

So basically, When you have two negative numbers being multiplied the rule is that they will become negative. 

In your case -6 (-3) will equal positive 18.

Negative x Negative = Positive

Negative x Positive = Negative

Postive x Positive = Positive.
