Robespierre was a French lawyer and politician who is known as the most prominent figures of the French Revolution. He was a member of the Constituent Assembly and The National Convention.
During his time in the Assembly, he supported social reforms that promoted the inclusion of the impoverished groups of French society. he campaigned for religious tolerance, the abolition of slavery, and universal suffrage. All of these efforts led to the establishment of the First French Republic on September 22th 1792.
