Answer:
Nuclear fusion is a process in which two small nuclei combine to form heavier nuclei and huge amounts of energy are released. Nuclear fission is a process in which a neutron hits an atom with a big nucleus causing two or three small nuclei and a large amount of energy and heat is also released, this causes a chain of fissions. The difference is that fusion is the combining of atoms to create a bigger atom that gets split, by a neutron (like in nuclear fission). Also, fusion takes in more energy than fission but it creates 3-4 times as much energy as fission.
