The greenhouse effect is the process by which radiation from the sun is retained and warms the planet's surface to a temperature that makes the planet livable. There are other factors that contributed for warm temperature in a unnatural and unhealthy way, like excess burning of fossil fuels.

Climate change or global warming refers to the increase of the average earth's temperature. Excess of fossil fuel burning has caused a very high increase of carbon dioxide, and consequentially, a increase of temperature. This climate change affects particular ecosystems, resulting in the extinction of many species.

Climate is the location's general weather (sunny, snowy, humid, etc.) whereas weather is just a short-term change in the atmosphere
