1.) The attacks affected U.S. involvement in the Second World War since they now realized that they cannot remain isolated from the world anymore. Doing so would put the people and their country in danger since if they do not fight back, they can be attacked again.
2.) The attacks on Pearl Harbor impacted the military base since they realized that one of the reasons they had been attacked was the fact that they had been caught off guard by the Japan.
