D.the movement of the daffodils
In the poem "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" by William Wordsworth "fluttering and dancing in the breeze" describes the movement of the daffodils. This is from the first stanza of the poem.
"I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze."
The speaker begins his dream by pretending he is a cloud floating along in the sky. He sees a field of daffodils and describes them as fluttering and dancing. This changes his mood from one of loneliness to joy and happiness as he watches the happy daffodils.
