Respuesta :
get all the common factors on the same sides
1/5 a + 1/3 = 1/3 a - 1/3
1/5 a - 1/3 a = -1/3 - 1/3
(1/5 - 1/3) a = -2/3
a = (-2/3) / (1/5 - 1/3)
1/5 a + 1/3 = 1/3 a - 1/3
1/5 a - 1/3 a = -1/3 - 1/3
(1/5 - 1/3) a = -2/3
a = (-2/3) / (1/5 - 1/3)
a = 5
first you could add 1/3 to both sides in order to move it from one side to the other, then i would multiply the whole equation by 3 in order to cancel out all of the /3 fractions, from this you would have 3/5a + 2 =a
next multiply everything by 5 to cancel out the 3/5, you get 3a+10=5a
subtract 3a from both sides, 10=2a
divide both sides by 2 in order to make a not have a coefficient, and you get 5=a
hopefully that was easy enough to understand
