If a person loves his or her job, their life will be so much happier given that they will be satisfied at their work, and thus come home pleased as well. If you hate your job, you are going to be stressed and depressed all the time, and that will reflect on your personal life as well. Thoreau understood this, and believed that love toward work is essential.
