This is an extrinsic motivator. Extrinsic motivators are motivators that come in the form of external factors such as money, praise, recognition, position and the like. In this situation, Natalia did a really good job so her boss is going to praise her in order to motivate her and make her feel good. The praise is the extrinsic motivator.
