1) You are supposed to solve for y from the given equation also know as slope-intercept form ... which is y = mx + b 

5x + 2y = 10 

Start by subtracting 5x from both sides....

2y = - 5x + 10 

Divide both sides by 2 to get y by its self...

y = - 5/2 + 5  is the answer

A) y = |x + 6| + 1 

Because the graph moved 6 to the left and 1 up

The formula is  f(x) = a ( x - h ) + k 

    k represents y value .... In the coordinate plane y values go up and down..
