Depending on the pathology lung tissue can be observed in
cross-section, sagittal or frontal sections. Normal lung tissue being the
control, it is compared to the lung tissue damaged. For instance, color changes
in the lining of the tissue, the composition and thickening could be the
indications of alterations and comparisons.
