I don't remember exactly how but I know that he used his lighting bolt (crafted by cyclopes along with some other weapons) and he had help from his brothers (Hades and Poseidon) in the end they cut him up into a million pieces and threw them into Tartarus (deepest part of the Underworld/Hell)
