Saint Basil's Cathedral, is a church located in Red Square in Moscow, Russia. The church was built between 1555 and 1561 by order of Tsar Ivan the Terrible to commemorate his victory over the Kazan Khanate. The building stands as a museum officially referred to as the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat.
