Depending on where you live, it differs for everyone. However, examples are (recycling, using fewer CCFs (Chlorofluorocarbons e.g. aerosols), putting protective measures on building and construction on environmental spots and habitats of rare species and plants... etc.) What do they do in your home town?

It depends on the places where specific areas of biodiversity are being threatened and pollution is rampant, however in my hometown, there are programs and community drives that encouraged everyone to follow segregation of waste, recycling, clean air act and many more. They call upon the support and contribution of the people living in certain areas to help out and become active in the said programs and community drives.
