There are 4 levels of priority defined by EDCA in the 802.1d, known as Voice, Video, Best-Effort, and Background. These levels by EDCA are commonly known as Access Categories. Using AC Specific values, prioritized access can be attained. Prioritization of task will be based on the levels determined by EDCA
There are 4 defined priority tags of access categories of Wifi multimedia (WMM) under EDCA 802.1d standard. These are voice(VO), video(VI), best-effort(BE), and background(BK). Priority tags are sent from the Wired network to assign access categories.
