When changing fractions into decimals the whole number goes before the period and the fraction goes after. The denominator of the fraction will tell you whether or not you need to put any zeros before the numerator. If the denominator is 10 zeros are not needed. The end result is 7.2 and can be read as seven tenths.
7 2/10 is read "seven and two tenths."
Just put a two in the tenths place to express this as a decimal.
[tex]7\frac2{10}=\boxed{7.2}[/tex]
