In analyzing a piece of writing, take care to notice whether the author includes C. assumptions, ideas or principles expressed as fact without providing evidence to support it.
If a writer includes his or her own ideas, assumptions, or any thoughts in general, they have to support them with various types of evidence. If there is no proof as to why they think what they say is true, then there is no reason why we as readers should believe them.
