Respuesta :

I suppose it false, since the oxidation involves the loss or removal of the electrons such forth it does not gain electrons.

A molecule that oxidized gains electrons and energy  is false

In a redox reaction, Oxidation occurs when there is Loss of  one or more electrons and  loss of hydrogen but gain of oxygen by a substance (molecule)

while reduction occurs when there is gain of one or more electrons and a loss of  an oxygen atom.

Looking at the reaction below

H2+F2 --->2HF

• There was loss of electron Hydrogen H2(Oxidation)

H2 ---->2H+ +  2e-

• There was gain of electron by fluorine,   F2(reduction)

F2 + 2e- ---->2F-
