The moon is absolutely not made out of green cheese, despite what the old folk tale said. Like the Earth, the moon boasts a crust, mantle and core. Deep inside of its interior, the moon may have a solid iron core surrounded by a softer, somewhat molten liquid iron outer core. None of these things have anything to do with food; much less dairy. This is just one of many reasons why the moon is not made out of green cheese, contrary to what the folk tale boasted.
