Realizing there are hundreds of thousands of lives lost either because they failed to take care of themselves or did not know how, therefore suffered as a result.
Many people die and we see it a lot in the media, but it really doesn't impact us until it affects you and/or a loved. And this is true because we do little research and have very little knowledge on an illness until Uncle Joe is diagnosed with diabetes.
Seeing a loved having to go through that pain inspires to me educate others, especially my family so they can take the right steps to live a better life. Now, it is their responsibility to make the right decision. I can't make them, but they do know what is right for them.
