I live in the Southern hemisphere,so I can clearly tell you the answer
From the 21st Sept. to 20th  Dec is spring
From the 21 st Dec to 20th March is summer
From the 21st March to 20th June is autumn
Fromm the 21st June to 20th Sept is winter
So, in August we experience a mild winter.It's no longer cold here in winter,due to the global warming and pollution.
