D.16. If you eliminate the numbers one from the beggining and one from the end, and keep going, then you will be left with the median

Median for data of 19, 18, 12, 22, 15, 14, 16, 16, 14, 14, 21, 18

First thing you have to do is put them in order

12, 14, 14, 14, 15, 16, 16, 18, 18, 19, 21, 22
Now that we have them in order, find the one that is in the middle.

In this case it's an even amount of numbers so there are 2 middle numbers 16 and 16.

What you do when you end up with this situation all you have to do is add the two middle numbers

16 + 16 = 32

then divide the total by 2, which is finding the average of the two numbers.

32 ÷ 2  16

D.16 is the median of the data set.

When both numbers are the same as in this case, the mean will be that number. I just wanted to show you the steps in case you run across a problem that the numbers are not the same.

Hope this helps.
