Which sentence uses comparison correctly? A. Which tastes gooder to you, a hearty soup or a fresh salad? B. Which tastes best to you, a hearty soup or a fresh salad? C. Which tastes more better to you, a hearty soup or a fresh salad? D. Which tastes better to you, a hearty soup or a fresh salad?

Respuesta :

D is the only one that follows conventional grammar rules.

The rest are wrong because...

A- gooder is not a word

B- you are only comparing 2 things so you would say best, you would say better. The rule is 'good, better, best.' Best is only used to compare multiple things

C- You already said better so you don't need another adjective, more, to support that

D.

A. and C. use words and phrases that do not exist, and B. is incorrect because it uses the 'good, better, best' rule.

hope this helps!
