Of 100 diners in a restaurant, 45 ordered the fish of the day and 14 are wearing a dress. Of the diners who ordered fish, 8 are wearing a dress. What is the probability that one of the diners ordered the fish or is wearing a dress? Express your answer as a decimal rounded to the nearest hundredth.

1.     The probability that one of the diners orders fish = number of diners who ordered fish / total number of diners

p1=45/100=0.45

2.     The probability that one of the diners is wearing dress= number of diners wearing dress/ total number of diners

3.     p2=14/100=0.14

The probability that one of the diners ordered the fish or is wearing a dress is: p=0.45+0.14=0.59
