It is recommended that someone seeking a job or career change define their weaknesses because it allows them to A. Focus on improving themselves in those areas. When you know you have weakness in some areas by allowing yourself to acknowledge those weaknesses you are giving yourself room to grow. The only way to grow and improve is by setting goals for yourself and working towards acheiving those goals to make improvements within a career change.
