According to Freud, our adult personality is determined by the way we resolve conflicts between sources of pleasure at each stage and the demand of reality. Freud is of the opinion that every individual goes through five stages of psycho-sexual development. Freud believed that our adult personality depend on the manner we resolve conflict between these stages.
