The glass ceiling is a phrase first introduced in the 1980, a metaphor for a barrier which keeps minorities or woman not able achieving their goal in the carrier - rising to the upper rungs of the corporate ladder, regardless of their qualifications or achievements.Breaking the glass ceiling in the healthcare industry means more women in healthcare leadership. Encouraging diversity in senior leadership is very important and the gender should not be the obstacle.In the healthcare industry every year there are more and more women on management position, but still it the changes are slower than in other industries.
