Religion plays a large part in shaping the different cultural regions of the world. Central and South Asia, East Asia, and Southeast Asia share some of the same religions and religious history, though none of them is a distinct cultural region. In what ways are the religions of these Asian regions culturally similar to one another? In what ways are the regions culturally different due to religion?

Each religion has a different culture. Many religions restrict eating certain foods, wearing certain clothes or associating with certain people. In Central Asia, Chinese religion such as Buddhism and many other religions live by certain values, whereas in South Asia such as India, there are a whole new set of different religions. These religions and their restrictions greatly separate people from each other and create socially and culturally diverse regions
