Below are two different functions, f(x) and g(x). What can be determined about their y-intercepts?

f(x) = −3x + 2
x | y
2 | 12
2 | 10
2 | 4

A. The function f(x) has a higher y-intercept.
B.The function g(x) has a higher y-intercept.
C. They both have the same y-intercept.
D. The relationship between y-intercepts cannot be determined.

Respuesta :

I think, 2 | 10 is the answer.
the first one, the y intercept is where x=0
f(0)=-3(0)+2=2
x intercept is 0 for f(x)

I'm assuming the table is of g(x)
we see, hmmm
the equation is x=2 because no matter what y is, x=2
the y intercept is where x=0 so since x=2, x≠0 so there is no x intecept

the relationship between them can't be determined

D is answer
