Respuesta :

In my opinion the best way for him to revise this essay it to double check his spelling and make sure his punctuation is correct and that he is capitalizing and spelling everything correctly.

Answer: Since the student is writing a critical essay, he/she should not just summarise the work, but also evaluate it.

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it can be added that the goal of a critical essay is to evaluate somebody's work, in this case the U.S. Declaration of Independence, and, consequently, to make it more understandable. A critical essay is, therefore, subjective, since the author is giving his/her opinion of a text. This student has done the analysis - he has identified some of the main ideas of Jefferson's thesis - but he has neglected to identify the purpose of the text and to evaluate Jefferson's success in reaching that purpose.
