Respuesta :

Chaparral biomes are very similar to desserts so animals and other organisms that require water usually obtain it from groundwater sources. However, when groundwater is not available, these organisms may obtain water from plant life that stores water. Other organisms are adapted to hydrolyze fats in their body to release water in order to fulfill their energy requirement and water requirement.
Animals like quails that need water daily but cannot find streams, ponds, rivers or other sources of open groundwater are often able to absorb moisture from the foods they eat. In the case of the quail, they are able to absorb moisture from the insects and fruit they eat. ;)
